This home presented several overlapping challenges that required careful planning from the start:
The existing siding contained asbestos, which meant the installation had to account for encapsulation using house wrap and lath strips installed directly over it.
As a corner-lot home, the lower walls were vulnerable to road debris such as flying stones, a problem that standard vinyl siding alone wouldn't fully address.
The attic was finished, which meant the roofing crew needed to work carefully during installation to avoid disturbing the interior.
Flashing for the chimney needed to be replaced.
The homeowner needed clear communication and documentation—they had seen enough contractors to know what a rushed job looked like, and they weren't willing to settle for one.

Installed Tuff Rib metal roofing (exposed fastener profile) in Charcoal across 16 squares, covering the main house and two porch roofs.
Used specialty screws designed to create a watertight seal, an important consideration for a finished attic where any leaking would cause damage.
Installed synthetic underlayment over lath as the moisture barrier beneath the metal panels.
Added a continuous snow rail along all eaves to manage snow load and protect the entries below.
Replaced the pipe boot and installed new, precise chimney flashing
Removed and disposed of the existing satellite dish
Installed house wrap and lath strips over the existing asbestos siding, encapsulating it safely without removal.
Applied Ovation premium vinyl siding in Harbor Gray across 28 wall squares for the main field of the home.
Covered the bottom 32 inches of the walls with matching Tuff Rib metal wainscoting in Charcoal, tying the look of the roof and lower walls together while adding serious impact resistance for the corner-lot exposure.
Finished the end wall of the porch in vinyl siding to match the main home.
Installed new soffit and fascia in white around the full perimeter.
Re-clad and wrapped all window trim for a clean, finished appearance and added weather protection.
