It is also important to understand who will actually perform the work, as some companies subcontract projects without clearly communicating this to homeowners. I chose Equity Roofing for several reasons: 1. Personnel: Every team member I interacted with was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. 2. Comprehensive Proposal: My estimate was exceptionally detailed, spanning 34 pages and including aerial images of my home, descriptions of the required work, safety procedures, staff contact information, material specifications, package options with transparent pricing, a military discount, and a Certificate of Workmanship Warranty. 3. Professional Project Management: Equity Roofing uses CompanyCam Project Timeline, which provides real-time jobsite updates and photos. Since I currently live in Texas, this feature allowed me to monitor progress remotely and share updates with family and friends. When additional underlayment was unexpectedly needed on my porch roofs, the Project Manager, Jesse, promptly notified me, provided a detailed assessment of the materials and labor required, and submitted a change order only after receiving my approval. This level of communication and transparency reflects true professionalism. My Pennsylvania Victorian home's original slate roof lasted an impressive 116 years. To honor its legacy while complementing future exterior improvements, I selected Williamsburg Grey Owens Corning Duration shingles, along with a 6-inch white gutter system featuring Gutter RX leaf guards and white aluminum fascia. I recently had a new asphalt roof installed on my home by Equity Roofing. Everyone with whom I dealt was efficient, courteous, and honest, from the initial contact with the office, to the inspector, to the actual work done. Two members of the team were particularly impressive — Jon Cataldi, who I thought was both knowledgeable and thorough, and Trevor Fessler, the work supervisor, who oversaw the installation and who was congenial and very diligent. When a small glitch was discovered afterwards, Trevor immediately responded and made corrections. I would heartily recommend Equity to others for roofing work.

Roof replacement for back porch. Doug and Dan worked with me when delivery of the the original discontinued shingles were in very rough shape. They picked up replacement shingles which closely match. Completed the job the same day. Roof looks great!
